Kristie G. Garrett, MA, LPC

“If you are ready for change, feel free to contact me. You will find a non-judgmental, nurturing environment where you or your teen can have your needs met and the opportunity to grow. When you make the courageous decision to reach out to me, you can expect to be met with empathy, honesty, and integrity. Additionally, you can take comfort in knowing that I will be effective in addressing your needs and meeting you exactly where you are in your life.”

Kristie has been working with clients for over 25 years. Her experience base spans almost every therapeutic level of care from inpatient to outpatient and private practice. She was instrumental in starting multiple local jail diversion programs focusing on substance use and mental health issues.

Kristie uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person–Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her years of experience have taught her that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and she will work with you to see which approaches work best for you.

Kristie specializes in helping her clients with substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. Furthermore, she helps her clients with coping skills, teen issues, gender identity, stress, and relationship challenges. With her long history of working in the criminal justice system, she can help you get ready for court with Substance or Mental Health evaluations.

Therapy can be one of the hardest and most rewarding things a person does, and Kristie is ready to take the leap with you.
